SICK circle: an exploration of repair and renewal from chronically ill & disabled perspectives

This 36-page zine contains images, quotes, and conversation from an event that took place in Portland, Maine in June 2025. Ten folks gathered with garments in need of repair and took part in a mending circle led by Maya Skylark. We discussed our own experiences with chronic illness, touching on themes such as mending our own bodies, visibility, friendships, community, rest, productivity, and more.

We are offering both a digital copy and a print-at-home copy. To print at home, a double sided printer is required. Ensure your printer is set to 'short-edge binding', then just print and fold! Staple the spine and trim the edges if you're feeling fancy!
